Throughout Week 1 students will be working towards defining new educational vocabulary that will be used throughout the unit. The terms that will be explored are: family, need, want, value, role, and responsibility. Most lessons take place in the large group setting and require class and partner discussion.
Formative Assessment:

During whole class discussion, students will get to mention at least one word for to add to the word web about family

During whole group activity about needs and wants, every students will state their decision on the side they chose at least once time.

During whole class discussion, students will get to mention one statement about value

During whole group discussion about roles and responsibilities, students will get to make at least one statement about at least one person.
