Guiding Question: What does my family value?

Guiding Questions:

  • What do you value?

  • What does your family value?

  • Why does your family value these things?

In week three, the students will be further exploring the term value. They will think about their own values, and then their family’s values. Once they have discussed those, the students will look into why their families value what they do. The students will be working in large group settings, partner work, and individually.

Formative Assessment:

Students will individually draw their family values on a sheet of paper. Below the picture, the students will write what a value is and explain why their family values what they value for at least 2 of the values in their picture.
